Hi Sally
I read your piece in the Guardian today and then to your blog. Very interested in your works. I saw Orlando a long time ago and was impressed with the duality of the theme and this resonates for my life [so far]. I have also read some of your stuff about Tango and feel the passion although cannot dance it. I have a Spanish connection now and enjoy all things Spanish. I remember when we were at Fleet Road that you were different and special, not conventional.
I feel a pride having known you as a kid about your subsequent creativity. Wishing you all good things with Carmen. I have Antonio Gades video - v. strong!

Nicky, I remember you well, though I guess i have not seen you since we were both eleven years old, sitting in the classroom at school or running around playing on the heath. You had blue eyes (I think), a shock of dark hair, and a brooding manner, mixed with some rebellious behaviour. A good mix. How nice to hear from you.
