What a magical performance of Carmen that was on Saturday 27 October! We were there and thrilled to every aspect of this landmark production. And then -- how fantastic! -- when I told my family long distance on the phone to the US about it, they were able to share our experience online the following weekend! Indeed, the online experience is if anything even richer, with its backstage content, and the thrill of being with the performers and backstage members of the ensemble. More please, Sally!
Bah Humbug
I've been watching productions of Carmen since I was 12, which is a long time ago. I cringed at the odd change of lyric, but the dancers more than compensated for that.
A wonderful production.
