Women Filmmakers

Your body of work has inspired a generation of women, in your films we see the world through decidely female eyes. With ORLANDO I felt as if I'd finally seen a film which made a sense of HIStory, of war. It was rational and fanciful and terrifyingly beautiful and literate. Thanks for it. And now with YES you speak of our passions as women past the societal prime and you render us radiant.

I would like very much to share my work with you, RACING DAYLIGHT my first feature at 50. We shoot the 2nd, SLAP AND TICKLE , this August, and I owe a debt of gratitude to you who lead the way and continues to tell stories that are risky and out of the main.
