I like how sally is making loads of videos about the opera, I wonder if someone who wasn't from a film background would have thought of doing it? The blogs are really interesting, I followed sally's blogs for yes and it looks like these ones are going to be just as interesting to follow along. What does everyone else think about this? My friends aren't interested in talking about this with me cos it's opera so I figured I'd see who wants to chat on here.

It's nice to see these videos isn't it? I've worked in theatre for a while, and while it is very different to Opera (I imagine), it's great to see particular processes that I recognise and can relate to, such as the auditions video. Such a difficult experience for both sides, from what Sally said in her blog it seems she really understands this, I wonder if that is because of her performing background?

I, unlike you, did not follow Sally's blog for YES, so this is a completely new experience for me. The last time I followed the production of something online was downloading podcasts about the directors journey to make Superman Returns, but they were never very interesting, they just seemed to be doing it because they could. Did you ever see any of those?
