I remember seeing this ages ago on tv, I thought it was great. Tilda Swinton was really good in the role, she played both sexes so well! But I don't think I really got the film, how come Orlando just kept living? Was it just because the Queen asked her to? And at the end when she was happy with a kid, does that mean that she can then die? And how come she was pregnant during the war but when it got to modern day the child was still really young? Did she just age really slowly?
It was a really good film though, I loved the music, especially at the end with the angel guy singing.

I haven´t seen the movie yet, haven´t read the book yet.
Sometimes I just can´t help myself not to judge in advance, when I have a feeling to do so. Im leading to both of them, the book and the movie as soon as possible. What I´ve understood from several quotes and the trailer, is the metaphoric look at a complicated human soul. Diffused by centuries, diffused by people, sex (sometimes not the biggest problem at all).... mixtured with raised situations and feelings, ending by finding its absolution and all of this customized by destiny directly for the nature of the main character. A 400 years lasting journey for being enlightened. For some of us seems single life not enough time to do so. Everyone will understand at the end... I will surely understand more after seeing the movie and reading the book! :-)
Anyway the main plot is a magnificient choice!
